They are all enrolled in Theatre 450\, the Senior Seminar. Th e Seminar provides the academic context for a capstone experience that in cludes both a creative project and a written thesis. Because we have thre e concentrations within the major – dramatic literature/theatre history \, performance\, and design/technical theatre - our Festival will feature a mixture of productions and presentations. Senior capstone experiences both "summarize" a student's Theatre Department training and push it for ward. All senior majors write theses that explore the theoretical and his torical contexts of their creative work. The planning for these projects extends over the course of their senior year. Proposals for capstone pro jects are submitted early in the fall and are subsequently discussed\, re vised\, and revised again. What you will see in the Festival is the resul t of a year's worth of planning and work. We are excited to showcase the variety of Departmental work this year – in directing\, acting\, devis ing\, stage design\, technical direction\, and playwriting - and we hope you will try to see as much of it as possible. https://college.lclark.ed u/live/news/39149-theatre-thesis-festival-2019 X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:
