They are all enrolled in Theatre 450\, the Senior Semi nar. The Seminar provides the academic context for a capstone experience that includes both a creative project and a written thesis. Because we ha ve three concentrations within the major – dramatic literature/theatre history\, performance\, and design/technical theatre - our Festival will feature a mixture of productions and presentations. Senior capstone expe riences both "summarize" a student's Theatre Department training and push it forward. All senior majors write theses that explore the theoretical and historical contexts of their creative work. The planning for these p rojects extends over the course of their senior year. Proposals for capst one projects are submitted early in the fall and are subsequently discuss ed\, revised\, and revised again. What you will see in the Festival is th e result of a year's worth of planning and work. We are excited to showc ase the variety of Departmental work this year – in directing\, acting\ , devising\, stage design\, technical direction\, and playwriting - and w e hope you will try to see as much of it as possible. https://college.lc lark.edu/live/news/39149-theatre-thesis-festival-2019 X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:
