On Sunday\, February 10\, 2019\, Lewis &am p\; Clark will host a free morning sports clinic for girls ages 7-12 wher e participants will interact with Pioneers student-athletes and coaches a nd learn new skills in softball\, track and field\, soccer\, volleyball a nd \;basketball. Lewis &\; Clark's head strength and conditioning coach Angela Dendas will also coach a strength and conditioning session. Check-in begins at 8:30am with the camps running from \;9:30am to 12: 15pm. National Girls and Women in Sports Day began in 1987 as a single e vent in Washington\, D.C.\, to honor Olympic volleyball star Flo Hyman. S ince then\, the day has grown into a nationwide celebration across all 50 states.
