They are all enrolled in Theatre 450\, the Senior Seminar. The Seminar p rovides the academic context for a capstone experience that includes both a creative project and a written thesis. Because we have three concentra tions within the major – dramatic literature/theatre history\, performa nce\, and design/technical theatre - our Festival will feature a mixture of productions and presentations. Senior capstone experiences both "summ arize" a student's Theatre Department training and push it forward. All s enior majors write theses that explore the theoretical and historical con texts of their creative work. The planning for these projects extends ov er the course of their senior year. Proposals for capstone projects are s ubmitted early in the fall and are subsequently discussed\, revised\, and revised again. What you will see in the Festival is the result of a year 's worth of planning and work. We are excited to showcase the variety of Departmental work this year – in directing\, acting\, devising\, stage design\, technical direction\, and playwriting - and we hope you will tr y to see as much of it as possible. https://college.lclark.edu/live/news /39149-theatre-thesis-festival-2019 X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:
