Launched in January\, the V enture Competition welcomed proposals from three- to five-member teams of students and young alumni from the College of Arts and Sciences\, the La w School\, and the Graduate School of Education and Counseling. Throughou t the spring\, a field of more than 40 was narrowed down to 11 remaining teams. The five winning teams announced at the end of the Pitch Day even t will receive additional mentorship and seed funding throughout the summ er. This fall\, the Venture Competition will culminate in one last round of presentations by the finalists\, and funding totaling up to $30\,000 w ill be made available to the two most promising ventures.
