Faculty may apply to the Teaching Excellence Program for funds to support classroom innovation. Grants of up to $2000 may be used to pilot changes to a course or to employ new techniques. This may include but is not limited to:
-developing digital or online content for a course
-adopting active learning modules for a class
-testing new approaches to enhance the effectiveness of your pedagogy
-purchasing a new a piece of equipment that will be used in the classroom
-providing an honorarium to an external teaching consultant or student assistant
Funds cannot be used for faculty stipends. Items and equipment purchased with grant funds belong to Lewis & Clark. All institutional policies regarding capital equipment, purchasing, and procurement apply.
Faculty who receive classroom innovation funds from TEP will be asked to lead a round-table discussion and/or an interactive presentation about what they learned.
