Post-Recital Reception

paragraph field

If you plan to host a reception for your guests following your Senior Degree Recital, the Performance Events Coordinator will be happy to reserve a space for you. If you would like to have it in the Diane Gregg Pavilion, you would need to have it catered by Bon Appétit (no exceptions). Outside food is not permitted in the Diane Gregg Pavilion. The Performance Events Coordinator can connect you with the caterer so you can discuss pricing (not covered by the Department of Music). Another option is for you to have your reception in Seitz Lounge. You would be responsible for providing and serving refreshments, as well as any set-up or clean-up in the space. Alcohol is not permitted to be served unless arranged by the Performance Events Coordinator, through Bon Appétit’s licensed servers. Please note: Stage Crew are not responsible for assisting with receptions in any way.

Publicity

paragraph field

Your Senior Degree Recital will be posted on the Lewis & Clark website, which will be seen on monitors across the LC campus, and will be included on Departmental Upcoming Events email blasts. Printed posters are not required, but you may design one and have it printed out for your event. If you need guidance on where you may print, please contact the Performance Events Coordinator to discuss what resources are available to you. You may also create an event on Facebook and tag @MusicDepartmentLewisClarkCollege to help spread the word about your performance, or tag us on your Instagram stories / posts (@lcmusicdepartment). For additional publicity ideas, please connect with the Performance Events Coordinator.

A 2-3 sentence blurb about this event is required 2 months prior to your performance date for the LC website. Example: The Lewis & Clark Department of Music presents Jordan Smith in their Senior Degree Vocal Recital on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at 7:30pm in Evans Auditorium. The repertoire features art song that shares the stories of women throughout history and famous works of literature. The performance is a collection of French, German, and English vocal music spanning from Baroque cantatas to contemporary art song and reflects on how women are portrayed by both male and female composers throughout time.

Following Your Recital

paragraph field

Shortly following your Senior Degree Recital, you will head into your final months at Lewis & Clark College. The Department of Music takes great pride in the close-knit community that we build with our students during these four years, and we would love to keep in touch with you following your graduation! If you would like to stay connected and be on our Alumni Email List, please provide us with a non-lclark email address (as they typically expire about six months post-graduation) so we can reach you long-term.
