Portland Chamber Orchestra: A Spring Swing

Lewis & Clark’s mixed chamber choir, Cappella Nova, will join the Portland Chamber Orchestra on April 25 and 26 in Agnes Flanagan Chapel in performance of excerpts from Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story, as part of the Portland Chamber Orchestra’s “A Spring Swing” concert. 100 free tickets will be available to Lewis & Clark community members. Maestro Yaacov Bergman leads “the intimate symphony with infinite imagination” on their innovative presentation of All American music at Lewis & Clark College. The concerts will feature rock violinist and composer, Aaron Meyer and jazz guitarist, Tim Ellis. Soprano Nicole Greenidge Joseph sings Samuel Barber’s Magical Song Cycle, “Knoxville, Summer of 1915” and selections from Bernstein’s West Side Story. She is joined by Portland Tenor, Brian Tierney and the Lewis & Clark College Cappella Nova Choir, directed by Katherine FitzGibbon.

  • Samuel Barber–“Knoxville, Summer  of 1915” - Nicole Greenidge Joseph, Soprano
  • Leonard Bernstein – Selections from “West Side Story” - Nicole Greenidge Joseph, Soprano (Maria) and Brian Tierney, Tenor (Tony) and Cappella Nova Choir (the “Sharks” and the “Jets”)

100 free tickets will be available to Lewis & Clark community members. Please contact concert@lclark.edu to reserve. All other tickets may be purchased online through PCO’s ticketing office. Advance tickets are available by calling the Portland Chamber Orchestra office at 503.771.3250.
