Date: 4:00pm - 6:00pm PST November 25, 2014 Location: Templeton Campus Center
Templeton Campus Center
On August 9 2014, Michael Brown, an unarmed African-American teenager, was shot and killed in Ferguson, Missouri by a white officer named Darren Wilson. Following Michael Brown’s death, protestors took to the streets in Ferguson and across the country to denounce the killing.
The grand jury released its decision on November 24, 2014 and did not indict officer Darren Wilson in the fatal shooting death of Michael Brown.
The Department of Inclusion and Multicultural Engagement at Lewis & Clark College wants to provide a facilitated space for students, staff and faculty to gather, talk and connect. We will meet on Tuesday, November 25 from 4-6pm in Stamm (note new location - in the Templeton Student Center).
The goal of the gathering is to provide a place for LC students, alumni, staff and faculty to share their feelings and to develop potential action steps for our community.
This gathering is for Lewis & Clark College-affiliated community members.
