Harriet: An MLK Week 2020 Screening

Come join us in Council Chambers for a movie night as we screen the recent biographical blockbuster, Harriet, which follows the story of Harriet Tubman, the hero who escaped enslavement and went on to fight for and win the freedom of hundreds of others along the underground railroad.

The film is directed by Kasi Lemmons, and stars Cynthia Enrivo, Leslie Odom Jr., and Janelle Monáe.

It will be presented with closed captions, and there will be free popcorn available.

This event is presented as part of the office of Inclusion and Multicultural Engagement’s MLK Week 2020. It is sponsored by Student Activities and Public Affairs and Communications
