Join alumni of the Lewis & Clark College of Arts and Sciences in the Puget Sound area for rotating monthly events, organized by local alumni. Everyone is welcome. If you have questions, please contact Merrilee MacLean ’74 at email@example.com.
Wednesday, May 1, 5:30 p.m.
Laura (Montross) Franklin ’83 has arranged with the people at Friends of Seward Park for a walk in the park guided by Paul Talbert and Patricia Killam, who have been involved with Seward Park for more than 20 years. Meet at the Audubon Center at the Park Entrance.
Join fellow alumni for a walk in the park and learn about plants, geology and the history of the park. Seward Park is located on the Bailey peninsula which juts into Lake Washington. It encompasses 300 acres which includes one of the last old growth forest pockets in Seattle. There are trails, tennis courts, beaches, a pottery center and playground. Afterwards, we will walk/drive to the nearby Third Place Books for a social hour in the Raconteur Restaurant which is located inside the bookstore.
Registration is not needed for this free event but please RSVP to Laura at firstname.lastname@example.org for planning purposes.
