    Dr. David Autor is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research. He is an internationally recognized labor economist specializing in earnings inequality and the labor market impacts of technological change and globalization. Dr. Autor has a BA in psychology from Tufts and a PhD in public policy from Harvard’s School of Government.

David Autor, Ford Professor of Economics at MIT, will present striking new evidence on the changing structure of work, wages, and demographics across cities, suburbs, and rural areas. His presentation will shed light on why Americans perceive a growing chasm of dynamism and opportunity between highly educated citizens living in thriving metropolitan areas and just about everyone else.
