Throughout nearly 40 years, the Alexander String Quartet has performed in the major music capitals of four continents, securing its standing among the world’s premier ensembles. Please join us as Lewis & Clark College welcomes the Alexander String Quartet back to campus for an evening performance in the Agnes Flanagan Chapel.
The Quartet (Zakarias Grafilo, violin; Frederick Lifsitz, violin; Paul Yarbrough, viola; Sandy Wilson, cello) will perform:
- W.A Mozart’s String Quartet No. 16 in E-flat major, K. 428
- Krzysztof Penderecki’s String Quartet No. 3 “Leaves of an Unwritten Diary”
- Robert Schumann’s String Quartet No. 3 in A major, Op. 41, No. 3
