Friends of Rain Concert
Date: 7:00pm PST February 22, 2015 Location: Gregg Pavilion
Friends of Rain, Lewis & Clark’s faculty new music chamber ensemble, will present an exciting concert of contemporary classical music on February 22, 2015 in the Diane Gregg Memorial Pavilion. This program will include performances of faculty members from the Department of Music at Lewis and Clark as well as guests Post-Haste Duo and pianist Maria Garcia. The event will showcase works by visiting composer Jason Haney, young American composers Sara Carina Graef and Marcus Maroney, as well as world premieres by Associate Professor of Composition Michael Johanson and Director of Bands and Percussion Brett EE Paschal. The concert will also feature our woodwind faculty, including Adam Trussell, LC’s new Instructor of Bassoon. Musical imagery is alive throughout the program with pieces such as Star of the Sea for Cello and Piano by Jason Haney, Suite Rhythm by Brett E.E. Paschal and Prayers from the Long History of Happiness by Sara Graef.
This event is FREE for LC students, $5 for LC faculty/staff/alumni and seniors, and $10 general admission.

Soundscapes for Saxophone and Bassoon, featuring Post-Haste Reed Duo
