Parents Preview 2018
Date: August 29 - August 30
We invite all of our new students’ families to join us for Parents Preview. Running simultaneously with the first two days of New Student Orientation, August 29 & 30, the program is designed to familiarize parents with the academic and co-curricular life of the college so they have confidence that they are leaving their student in good hands. The program is regularly praised for helping with the college transition. As one recent parent said, “Though it was difficult to leave…we felt much better about it for having spent the time on campus these two days.”
The formal program begins at 3:45pm on Wednesday, August 29 with a social event for parents and concludes at 7pm on Thursday, August 30 with a community picnic following the Opening Convocation, the official opening of the 2018-19 academic year. We trust you will make plans now to attend Parents Preview.
It is our mission to introduce you to the College, familiarize you with the academic program and many student services but still provide you enough time with your son or daughter to allow for a comfortable transition.
