JR Howard Hall 302
In preparation for this Pedagogy Lunch discussion, please take a look at Dr. Cook-Sather’s article, Lessons in Higher Education: Five Pedagogical Practices that Promote Active Learning for Faculty and Students. In this article, Dr. Cook-Sather argues that active learning emerges when faculty: (1) reflect on their practice; (2) develop meta-cognitive awareness; (3) model what they hope their students will achieve; (4) practice pedagogical transparency; and (5) invite students to reflect on their learning experiences, needs & goals.
Please RSVP below and feel free to bring your lunch. Cookies, tea & coffee will be provided.
