Black Lives Matter: Diversity at Lewis & Clark College
Last fall, the Black Lives Matter movement erupted at scores of colleges and universities across the country with students demanding changes at their institutions. After a series of racist messages and a physical assault on our campus, students mobilized to demand a safer and more welcoming College. In an effort to respond to students, faculty developed a proposal to diversify faculty and the curriculum at L&C. This proposal was presented to the faculty at a meeting in December. Now, faculty will present that proposal to the wider community to seek feedback and suggestions.
