Apparently flamenco is WAY bigger than a dance with clapping and dress swooshing. As with many things we’ve seen so far, it is a tradition with widespread roots. My references all seem to disagree but from what I’ve seen flamenco is drawn from Romany, Arab, Jewish, native Andalusian, and Roman sources. And so what is a sevillana?
Its Seville’s local dance with folkloric roots that has been influence by flamenco. I claim no expertise: but some suggest learning sevillanas as preparation for flamenco because sevillanas are easier to learn. Vale! En esta foto puedes ver nuestro grupo practicando sevillana. Damos palmadas!
