  • 7:00pm: Watzek Screens: Drugstore Cowboy Workprint
    Join us for a special screening of Gus Van Sant’s Drugstore Cowboy, taken from an original never-before-released VHS workprint! Extra scenes, alternate music, a grittier and rawer version of this 1989 Portland classic. Oct.18, Thursday, 7:00pm, Miller 105. FREE! Open to L&C community only.   • 3:00pm - 4:30pm: Johannah Sherrer Memorial Lecture
    Shannon Mattern, Professor of Media Studies from The New School, will discuss “Local Codes: Forms of Spatial Knowledge” at the 19th Annual Johannah Sherrer Memorial Lecture. Please join us on Friday, October 19th at 3pm in the Gregg Pavilion on the Lewis & Clark Campus. A reception will follow the lecture.

    Please join us in the atrium of Watzek Library on October 23 from 5-7 p.m. to honor faculty member Kim Stafford, Oregon’s ninth poet laureate. The evening will include a reception, a poetry reading, canapes, and drinks.
