    Lewis & Clark College is proud to present the “Ralph Ellison Centennial Symposium.” The event will bring together nationally recognized scholars of literature, history, and the arts to explore Ellison’s legacy. Ralph Waldo Ellison, an American novelist, literary critic, scholar, and writer is best known for his novel Invisible Man, a definitive text on the African-American experience.     The Residue Years, by Mitchell S. Jackson, is an autobiographical novel about a coming-of-age son trying to keep his family together in NE Portland during the 1990s.  It has been selected as the featured title of Everybody Reads 2015 by Multnomah County Library.  Join readers across the community and check it out from Watzek Library.
