Greg Caldwell Scholarship

Greg Caldwell talks to some of his students

For 35 years, Greg Caldwell has provided Lewis & Clark’s international students and Third Culture Kids with whatever they need to succeed. From teaching English as a second language to directing the Office of International Students and Scholars, he has been a mentor and friend. He has helped generations of students navigate everything from visa regulations to the nuances of American culture.

The Scholarship

The Greg Caldwell Scholarship for International Students at Lewis & Clark College perpetuates the extraordinary work of a man who has helped countless international students find their way in Portland and beyond. Established in 2001 through the generosity of a Japanese parent, endowed in 2008 with a contribution from alumni and friends in Korea, and supported by friends from around the world, the scholarship helps our most deserving international students. Now, upon Greg Caldwell’s retirement, we wish to sustain and strengthen his legacy by bolstering the fund in his name.
