Library and Educational Technology Faculty and Staff Development Fund Proposal
The fund is managed by the Library and Educational Technology Committee and is intended to support exploration and innovation within CAS in the following areas:
- The application of technology to enhance teaching or research;
- The use or creation of information resources to support teaching or research;
- Approaches to teaching information literacy, digital literacy or other types of advanced digital skills within the curriculum.
- Textbook affordability including the use of Open Educational Resources.
The committee will solicit proposals in the spring semester for the following fiscal year (June-May). The committee will then solicit proposals in the fall for the remaining funds available for the current fiscal year. After a proposal is submitted, the Library and Educational Technology Committee will rank the proposals and recommend funding. Recipients will be expected to fill out a brief form detailing the outcomes of their funding by the following September. They will also be asked to participate in the Faculty Technology Showcase held each year to demonstrate and discuss the outcomes of their project.
