Russian Language Community
Russian RLC 2012-13
The residential Russian language community consists of a four-bedroom apartment in the West Rogers dormitory where three students of Russian and a Fulbright Language Assistant from Russia, Yulia Batalova, presently reside.
These students live in this apartment in order to improve their Russian language skills, learn more about Russian culture and get some help with their Russian homework if needed. Some samples of activities that took place include a field trip to the Russian immigrant community festival and Russian stores in Portland, Russian cooking with other students of Russian, Russian film viewings, Halloween party and tea and conversation gatherings.
Most importantly, residents of the Russian Language Community practice Russian as much as possible with the help of the native speaker of Russian, Yulia Batalova.
