Forensics Scholarship Application
Forensics Scholarships are available for students with exceptional records of commitment to and success in forensics who desire to continue to hone their craft in college. In particular, the squad seeks students with national-level success in a research-based debate format (policy, L-D, public forum) and/or national-level success in individual speaking events (e.g., extemp, duo, HI, DI, OO). Students who excel at speech and debate are particularly encouraged to apply.
Recipients of a Forensics Scholarship are expected to attend a minimum of three tournaments per semester, attend weekly meetings, complete all research/practice assignments, remain in academic good standing with the College, and contribute to the overall success of the squad. The specific requirements will be communicated to recipients upon notice of award.
The Forensics Scholarship Application includes three parts: 1) the electronically-submitted Forensics Scholarship Application form (below), 2) a statement of interest from the applicant, explaining the experience of the applicant and the level of interest in college forensics, and 3) a letter or recommendation from a forensics coach.
Candidates will be asked to complete an interview, either by phone or in person, with the Director of Forensics.
The statement of interest and/or the letter of recommendation can be mailed to:
