BMW - A Look at the German Automobile Industry
This year we’ll combine a look at Germany’s automobile industry with an excursion to the Munich factory. Sporty elegance and excellent quality from Germany: these are still the attributes one associates with BMW. Having sold over 800,000 vehicles, BMW’s revenue increased last year to a record high. A tour through the Munich factory will give you the opportunity to see behind the scenes at one of the most well-known automobile companies in the world.

Walking Tour through Old Town

Schloss Neuschwanstein The King’s Castles
The highlights of this day-long excursion are the castles of the famous King Ludwig II. Built along the cliffs, we will visit both the fairy tale-like Neuschwanstein and the smaller Rokoko-inspired favorite, Castle Linderhof. King Ludwig II realized his fairy tale dreams with small refined details and at Linderhof, an artificially constructed stalactite cave, the Moorish Kiosk. On the way we will stop at the world famous Wieskirche, one of the most beautiful baroque churches in Germany and at the end of our trip we will visit the monastery Ettal with its 14th century church. With a little luck, we will also get to listen in on the Gregorian chanting of the monks.

Alte Pinakothek
The Alte Pinakothek is not only one of the oldest museums in the world, but with almost 900 works of art, it also houses one of the world’s most famous collections. Here you can see a representative example of European paintings from gothic to baroque. Whether Dürer, Rembrandt, Rubens, Tizian or Tintoretto, every famous European artist is represented, making it a “must” for any visitor to Munich.
