Study Abroad in France

 

Strasbourg, France

The Strasbourg program focuses on the language, history and contemporary culture of France. Courses are taken with faculty in the IIEF (Institut International d’Études Françaises) at the Université de Strasbourg, and are also taught by other faculty from the Université de Strasbourg. An option for Political Science or International Affairs students is offered by faculty teaching at the IEP (Institut d’Études Politiques) of Strasbourg.

Requirements Fulfilled:

This program fulfills the overseas study requirements for the French Studies major, and the World Languages and Literatures Major with French as the primary language. This program fulfills the Global Perspectives general education requirement for students who successfully complete 8 or more semester credits.

Yaounde, Cameroon

In cooperation with Middlebury College, this program provides language intensive academic and experiential learning through a rigorous curriculum comprised of university courses and program-specific courses. Paris, France

In cooperation with the Institute for the International Education of Students (IES), Lewis & Clark offers a program of French study in Paris. With its grand boulevards, world-famous monuments, unparalleled literary and artistic history, and its simple joie de vivre, Paris is a city that will change you forever.

Requirements Fulfilled:
Fulfills the overseas study requirement for the French Studies major and the overseas study requirement for the World Languages and Literatures major with French as the primary language and applies up to 12 credits toward the French Studies minor. This program fulfills the Global Perspectives general education requirement for students who successfully complete 8 or more semester credits.
