Faculty and Staff Positions

Search underway - Tenure-track assistant professorship in the Department of Biology beginning Fall 2014.

Candidates should be committed to excellent teaching and to developing a productive, externally funded research program involving undergraduates. The ideal candidate will have interests in the interaction between plants and other taxa such as bacteria or fungi. Regardless of the level of biological organization at which they work (from genomics to physiology to ecology), it is important the candidate be broadly trained, with a whole organism, field-oriented perspective. Ph.D. required, postdoctoral experience preferred. The successful candidate will teach five semester-long lecture or lab courses each academic year. These courses will include plant biology and one or more upper division courses in fields related to their specialty, participation in the core biology course, Investigations in Ecology and Environmental Science, and contributions to the College’s general education program.
