COVID-19 Procedures

Updated on 5/4/2022
  • Mask/Face cover requirement

In alignment with the college’s mandatory mask policy and with consideration of the increased number of positive cases on campus, masks at the ceremony WILL BE MANDATORY. Guests not wearing a mask will be asked to wear one. Anyone refusing to wear a mask will be turned away, even if they have a ticket. COVID-19 is unpredictable and our policies have been evolving with the pandemic, we appreciate your understanding and patience with us as we take the necessary steps to ensure the safety of our community.

We will have a limited number of masks available at the door. Any mask that covers both your mouth and nose will be acceptable.

  • Vaccination or Negative Test Requirement

Lewis & Clark requires all guests of on- and off-campus events to be fully vaccinated. Proof of vaccination and booster (if eligible for a booster), or proof of a negative COVID test conducted within the previous 72 hours, will be required for visitors attending this year’s ceremony. This applies to persons 12 years of age and older. Visitors should self-monitor for COVID-like symptoms before coming to the ceremony.

PCR, Rapid, and at-home tests will be accepted.

  • No-bag policy

Per the policy of the commencement venue, no guest is allowed to bring a bag or purse. This policy will be strictly enforced by the venue. If you bring a purse or bag, you will be turned away. The only exceptions are baby/diaper bags and medical bags which will be permitted after being searched and passed through an X-Ray machine.
