Kimberli Kai Ransom BA ’91, May 4, 2022, age 53. Ransom passed away after a valiant battle with metastatic breast cancer in her Portland home, surrounded by family and friends. Her love for travel and experiences in Denmark as a high school exchange student led her to study international affairs at Lewis & Clark, where she met Mojgan (“Mo”) Sami BA ’91. The two became close friends. They traveled the world together a few times before Ransom settled in Portland and worked as a university administrator and later as a musician, artist, and photographer. Sami created the Kimberli Ransom Overseas Scholarship in her honor. To make a donation, visit: https://college.lclark.edu/giving/scholarships/ransom-91-overseas-scholarship/.
