    Fred L. Brown Jr. BS ’64, August 28, 2021, age 80.

    Sharon Cotrell CAS ’64, August 23, 2020, age 77. After attending Lewis & Clark, Cotrell moved to Long Beach, California, where she worked for SeaLand as the West Coast’s first female dockworker. A cofounder of the Long Beach chapter of Teamsters for a Democratic Union, she fought on a national stage for the rights of workers. Cotrell was also a recognized advocate for equal rights for gay people, native peoples, and other underrepresented groups. Survivors include her sisters, Katharine, Shelley, and Gretchen, as well as many other family members and friends.

    Jeffrey B. Cronk BS ’64, December 11, 2019, age 77. Cronk served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Upon his return home, he worked for Levi Strauss’ international division in San Francisco, Hong Kong, and Southern California. He eventually relocated to San Diego, where he earned an MA in public affairs. He retired in 2007. Survivors include his wife, Cathy; children and stepchildren Chris, Heather, Eric, and Bobby; two grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.

    Nathan L. Jones BS ’64, November 2019, age 79.

    Larry Tankersley BS ’64, September 22, 2022, age 83. Tankersley worked for many years as director of food and nutrition at Providence Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska, and later as manager of administrative services for Alaska USA Federal Credit Union. Tankersley loved to read and to spend time in nature, especially camping and fishing with his family. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Lynette; two children, Troy and Laura; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

    Waldon C. Zimmerman BA ’64, December 2, 2020, age 79. After graduating from Lewis & Clark, Zimmerman earned his doctor of dental medicine degree in 1969 at the University of Oregon. He served in the Navy Medical Corps, providing care on Hopi and Navajo reservations in the American Southwest. In 1989, Zimmerman was chosen as Oregon’s Dentist of the Year. Survivors include wife Carol; children and step-children Javan, Michal, Rachel, Ben, Michael, and Megan; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
