      Katie Dahlhausen BA ’11 married her partner, Matthew, while scuba diving off the coast of Maui on August 29, 2017. They currently live in Davis, California.

      Alix Dixon BA ’11 graduated from Tulane University in 2016 with an MD/MPH. She is now back in Portland for the second year of her general surgery residency at Oregon Health & Science University.

      Chessa Eckels Anderson BA ’11 is in her second year as a middle school science teacher at the Jane Goodall Environmental Middle School in Salem, Oregon, a school that focuses on conservation biology, community service, and field learning. She received her M.S. in teaching from Portland State University in 2015.

      Erika Harris BA ’11 has started a new job in Seattle as the communications director for Trust Women, an abortion provider network operating in underserved communities.

      Walt Javins BA ’11 and Kylie Della BA ’10, September 17, 2016, in McCall, Idaho. Soon thereafter, they set off on a year of traveling and working abroad. Their adventures led them through Thailand, New Zealand, Japan, Portugal, France, and the Netherlands, all while working remotely with clients and coworkers back in the Pacific Northwest. Wanderlust sated, they’re thrilled to be settling down once again in their home in Seattle.

      Rachel Klabunde BA ’11 received her MS in global health and population from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in May 2017. During the 2017-18 academic year, she is on a Harvard travel fellowship in Chile, where she is studying adolescent smoking. In summer 2017, she married the love of her life, Hector, in Medford, Oregon.

      Ben Larson BA ’11 is a fixture in the Portland music world. He currently sings and plays mandolin and guitar for the Ben Larsen Band, Crow and the Canyon, and The Giraffe Dodgers.

      Tessa Marzulla BA ’11 earned a master’s degree in genetic counseling from the University of Michigan in April 2017. She has since moved back to the Pacific Northwest and now works as a prenatal genetic counselor at Swedish Hospital in Seattle. She lives with her fiancé, Andrew Quigley BA ’09, and cat Renly.

      Paige McFeeley BA ’11 began a new job in August 2017 as sports information director at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota. She’s responsible for promoting 14 NCAA Division II sports as well as rodeo.

      Katherine Paul BA ’11, who performs as Black Belt Eagle Scout, has released her first solo album, Mother of My Children. She recently received a shout-out in Willamette Week’s “Best of Portland” issue. Since studying at Lewis & Clark, Paul has performed with various local bands, including Genders and Forest Park. Her desire to go her own way stemmed from a need to branch out creatively. “I wanted to feel fulfilled and to flourish in music,” she said in an interview with Oregon Public Broadcasting.

      Katherine Shores BA ’11 recently earned her DVM from the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. A longtime advocate for homeless and neglected animals, Shores has worked as a veterinary technician at the Anti-Cruelty Society in Chicago and spay/neuter programs in the Caribbean and Costa Rica. She plans on pursuing a career in shelter medicine.

      Hannah Somhegyi BA ’11 earned a PhD in neuroscience from Harvard University in May 2018. Over the summer, she biked across Norway before moving back to Portland. Somhegyi plans to pursue data science and continue her freelance work as a visual designer. She helps scientists explore and communicate their data using visualizations and illustrations.
