      Mary Dakin BA ’88 visited campus in December 2017 for the college’s holiday reception and is on the planning team for the class of 1988 reunion. She is looking forward to seeing her classmates at Alumni Weekend in June.

      Sydney Freitas Dickerson BA ’88, MEd ’89 has lived in Honolulu since graduation. At Kapi’olani Community College, she works on a federally funded grant project that supports native Hawai‘ian students in career and technical fields.

      Jay Hernandez BA ’88, MAT ’04 lives in Houston. He just started his own business buying and selling cars as an international broker. He helps individual shoppers as well.

      Catherine Johnson-Ference BA ’88 tells us that she and her husband moped just a bit once they found themselves with an empty nest this past fall. However, she figured out that she now has even more energy for her work with seventh graders through WriterCoach Connection and for things like Lewis & Clark’s upcoming sesquicentennial celebration. She hopes to see many of her old classmates and friends at Alumni Weekend in June.

      Kristin Jouppe Shipman BA ’88 lives on a little farm outside of Hillsboro, Oregon. After the birth of her second child, she stopped working outside of the home to raise and home-school her five children. She is now reaping the rewards of her hard work by enjoying the accomplishments of her children, including her two grandchildren.

      Teresa Pacelli-Dill BS ’88 transitioned into a national practice at insurance brokerage USI in 2017. She works toward helping clients create a safe and healthy environment for their workers.

      Erin Waterman BA ’88 is a freelance transcriber for TV and media productions. Her love of lifelong learning has compelled her to explore ways to use her transcriptions skills to assist students with sensory processing disabilities participate in university classrooms. Waterman’s College Outdoors experiences planted the “seed” to write Naturography: Exercises to Waken Our Senses and Reconnect Us to Nature (CreateSpace, 2014).
