College Advising Center

For First-Year Students

Welcome to Lewis & Clark!

Your first year at a liberal arts college is an opportunity to learn about fascinating new subjects, delve deeper into areas in which you already held an interest in high school, and begin exploring LC’s general education curriculum.

The College Advising Center is here to help you throughout the summer, and beyond. Along with the First-Year Students Guide to Pioneer Success (GPS), you can explore the advice in our “For First-Year Students” webpages to answer many of your questions about registration, placement exams, and which classes to choose. You can also keep track of the action items you need to complete this summer in your Pioneer Portal beginning Monday, May 20.

Please contact the College Advising Center with any questions you have about your academic plans and progress: email, call 503-768-7600, or make an appointment. When you arrive on campus in the fall, we will match you with a specific College Advisor and a Pre-Major Faculty Advisor.
