The days and weeks between your first day of class until the end of your first semester is a very important time. During that time you will establish new friendships, some that will last a lifetime, find a field of study that may change your future plans, connect with a professor who, during your junior year, you may be working on a research project with, or join a club of which you eventually become President.

New Student Orientation (NSO) prepares you to be successful those first few weeks of school, orients you to the campus environment, and gives you that jump start to begin your college career on the right foot.  

Beyond NSO is an extended orientation program that starts the week after NSO and lasts through the middle of your first semester.  Basically, Beyond NSO is everything that happens after NSO to continue the preparation that NSO started. Beyond NSO  is similar to a booster shot; it builds on all the tips, tools, and advice that you receive at NSO to make you an even more successful LC student.  

How it works:

1. Attend Beyond NSO events to accumulate Pio Points.

2. Frequently check the Beyond NSO Schedule to look for opportunities to earn more Pio Points.

3. Get as many Pio Points as you can to spend at the Beyond NSO Auction & Soiree.
