The mission of our office is to support a successful transition for undergraduate students into the intellectual, social, and cultural community of Lewis & Clark College. Starting college is a big step, one that can be both exciting and challenging. We are here to help you make a smooth transition academically and personally during your first year and beyond.

With a focus on  Engagement, Learning, and Success, the office coordinates our campus Peer Mentor program, Great Expectations pre-orientation retreat, Beyond New Student Orientation, College Success Workshops, provide support to the Dean of Students’ Family Classes, and more!  We also introduce tools such as effective study strategies, time management and goal setting, along with identifying opportunities to get students engaged in the community and connected to the campus.
