Four veteran sailors drove up to Seattle over the weekend of October 17-18 for North/North. Day one was an interesting day. The morning’s heavy rain subsided mid-day and a shifty southerly filled, ranging from 5 to 12 knots with gusts up to 20 knots. B fleet sailed in lighter breeze, and sailed through a double rainbow that wrapped around the boats. The FJs looked like the proverbial “end of the rainbow” in the middle of Lake Washington. The sun made a few brief appearances. Day two began with three races for A division in a light 5 knot southerly breeze which quickly died and left B fleet to sit on glassy waters. The team finished 18th out of 20 boats.
