    Four years, three coaches, and two houses later, the only five seniors on the women’s soccer team are still together and thriving. Accompanied by two adorable kitties (Coon and Thunderstar) as well as a young and wily Natalie Stratton (’12), we have entered a new year together and as a family we are readapting to the lifestyle of a student athlete at Lewis & Clark.

    Lewis & Clark’s athletic facilities received a heavy dose of transformation and building over this past summer. The more highlighted additions include new turf on the football field, an elevator added to Pamplin, and renovations to the Huston batting cage, Estate tennis courts, and Eldon Fix track.

    That is what midfielder Emilia Emmetti (’14) felt after she scored the winning goal in the second overtime of the LC women’s opening soccer game against Warner Pacific at home on September 1.

    Lewis & Clark’s women’s volleyball team improved their record this weekend to 2-3 in the season with a 3-0 victory over the Evergreen State Geoducks (25-12, 25-23, 25-14).

    In their kickoff game to the fall season Wednesday night, both the women and men’s team hit the ground running with a dual victory over Linfield: the women with a victory score of 16-43 and the men with a score of 24-32.
