Great Expectations

Great Expectations (or GE) is a no-cost pre-orientation program designed to help incoming students transition to college life. Participants will make connections with one another, a peer mentor (assigned to them for their first year at LC), staff, and faculty. During the trip, students learn about the many resources LC has to offer, the differences between high school and college, and other transitions they may experience. Students who attend the trip have the advantage of making friends before they arrive on campus. These connections last throughout their first year and beyond.

This year the retreat will be at Canby Grove in beautiful Canby, Oregon from August 25-27, 2013! We will spend 3 days enjoying the outdoors, swimming, hiking, gaining knowledge about campus resources, balancing a course load, and other beneficial activities with LC staff, faculty and peer-mentors.

Invitation to the GE program is required. For more information or to register for the program, please email orlansky@lclark.edu or call Rachel Orlansky, Director of Student Support Services at 503.768.7143.
