What is Community Engagement?
Community engagement is the process by which individuals and organizations build ongoing, permanent relationships for the purpose of applying a collective vision for the benefit of a community.
There are multiple forms of Community Engagement: Direct Service, Community Research, Advocacy and Education, Capacity Building, Political Involvement, Socially Responsible Personal and Professional Behavior, Philanthropic Giving, and Participation in Associations.
The links below provide a sample of both volunteer and professional opportunities among those various forms of Community Engagement. Check them out!
