Lewis & Clark’s community service day brought 260 volunteers out into the greater Portland community! -
On April 24th, faculty, staff, students, and community partners from the Law School, Graduate School of Education & Counseling, and College of Arts and Sciences came together to celebrate the accomplishments of faculty and students who participated in Academic Civic Engagement this year. -
For students like Amelia Blakeman ’06, the “intellectual agility” that comes with a liberal arts education can mean an entrepreneurial approach to careers. -

The folks in 3CE recently caught up with Eli Fabens to hear more about his experiences working at Oreninc, an independent financial services provider for companies, institutions, and investors in the junior commodities space. Eli, originally from Ithaca, New York, graduated from Lewis & Clark in May 2011 with a degree in Economics. -
The folks in 3CE caught up with Carolyn Worthge, over winter break to hear more about her experience working with the ONE Campaign as a Faiths Act Fellow with the Tony Blair Faith Foundation. Carolyn, originally from San Mateo, California, graduated from Lewis & Clark in May 2011 with a degree in Sociology/Anthropology and a minor in Music. -
Lewis & Clark College’s Office of Student Transitions & Experiences seeks a dynamic, relationship-oriented individual to join our team for the 2012-13 academic year. The successful candidate will coordinate all aspects of our peer mentor program in its newly designed first phase of a three-year plan that will, by 2014, provide each new student a peer mentor in their first semester. Coordination includes and is not limited to: mentor training, programmatic development and promotion, facilitating conversations and cultivating relationships with campus stakeholders and partners, and advising of mentors. Additionally, our successful candidate will provide additional support to the office’s overall programs such as extended orientation (Beyond NSO), college success workshops (CSWs), our pre-orientation retreat called Great Expectations or ‘GE’, and individual student support, as needed. -

When Molly Hetz ’11 first volunteered in the rural village of Guarjila in northern El Salvador as a high school student, she immediately connected with the people and knew she needed to return. -
Isaac Holeman ’09 is a winner of the Top 11 in 2011 Innovators Challenge, which recognizes professionals who have used mobile technology in innovative ways to improve health systems and outcomes in remote areas of the world. -
