3CE Career and Opportunity Fair

Lewis & Clark will not be hosting an on-campus career and opportunity fair for the 2010-2011 academic school year. Please consider an on-campus recruiting session (below) or taking part in the 1st Avenue Career and Graduate School Fair.


1st Avenue Career and Graduate School Fair

1st Avenue is the largest career fair of its kind in the Northwest! Every year, over 500 students from liberal arts colleges come to learn about your opportunities. This year, the 1st Avenue Career and Graduate School Fair will take place Friday, April 1, 2011 in the Chiles Center at the University of Portland.

Fair Schedule:

10:45 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. Recruiter check-in. 
11:15 a.m. & 11:45 a.m. Employer orientation sessions.
12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. First Avenue Fair in progress!
11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Recruiter Lunch.
3:00 p.m. The First Avenue Fair is closed.
3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Interviews with employers by request

1st Avenue is organized by OLAPC, the Oregon Liberal Arts Placement Consortium. It is a cooperative organization founded in 1989 to enhance the career services offered by member institutions. The primary goal of the organization is to organize the annual First Avenue Career and Graduate School fair.

Eastern Oregon University, George Fox University, Lewis & Clark College, Linfield College, Pacific University, Reed College, University of Portland, Western Oregon University, and Willamette University are all members of OLAPC.

PioFair (Organizational & Volunteer Fair):

PioFair is Lewis & Clark’s annual student organization and volunteer fair and typically occurs in late-August or early-September. In 2009, 10 community organizations added over 96 students to their volunteer rosters as a result of attending PioFair.

What’s in it for your organization?

1. Opportunity to connect with a large number of students (over 500) at one time;

2. Opportunity to recruit for upcoming volunteer events or on-going service opportunities

Schedule an Information Session

Present an information session in a reserved room on campus. If you would like the opportunity to speak, present a slide show, or hold a question and answer session about your organization, contact us using the “Request A Space” form below. We can work with you to determine the best date and time for your session. 

Please also keep in mind the following information before requesting space at Lewis & Clark College:

  • Make your request at least 2 weeks before you would like to come in order to give ample time to make arrangements.
  • Please review the review the academic calendar before requesting a space.
  • Parking is enforced on our campus. Visitor permits may be purchased for $4 at our Campus Safety and Visitor Information Office. Please park only in designated visitor spaces.
  • In your request, please let us know if you have any specific A/V or technological needs.
  • 3CE is not able to support evening recruitment visits at this time. If you are planning an information session, please plan to have the session between 8:30am and 5pm, Monday through Friday.
