Get Involved with 3CE

Are you interested in building relationships with LC students? Do you have real-world experience that will add to the educational experience(s) of our students? Are you interested in hiring interns or full-time employees and/or securing volunteers for an on-going service experience or one-time volunteer opportunity? If so, getting involved with 3CE is the best way to connect to our students. Below are a number of opportunities to connect with the Center.

Careers for Pioneers:

A joint networking event and mock-interview session where students can connect with Lewis & Clark alumni members and ask questions regarding career field and path. The second portion of the event is a one-on-one mock interview session where students can learn valuable skills about the interview process.

Community Research Initiative:

The Community Research Initiative (CRI) partners Lewis & Clark students with 1 community organization and 1 faculty for the purpose of completing a community-based research project. 3CE provides a small stipend to students who participate in the CRI program.

The purpose of this initiative is  to (1) advance the research needs/agendas of community organizations, (2) advance students’ knowledge of the research process through its practical application in “real-world” and controlled environments, (3) to advance students’ knowledge of critical issues impacting the greater-Portland community, and (4) to advance faculty connectedness with the greater-Portland community and their individual research agendas.
