Event Management Policies
Lewis & Clark College’s Event Management Policy (EMP) handbook (pdf) is produced by the Office of the Vice President and Provost and the Office of Campus Events, and is approved by the College’s Executive Council. Its contents include the principles, policies and procedures which govern the use of Lewis & Clark College facilities and grounds by both internal and external College constituencies.
The policies and procedures developed for the management of special events outline College priorities related to facility use and scheduling, maintenance of a master calendar, assignment of responsibilities, information dissemination, operational guidelines, traffic and parking control, facility rental, and temporary signage.
Additional building use policies and procedures are maintained by facility managers.
The Event Management Policy handbook is subject to annual review and periodic updating through the Offices of the Vice President and Provost, and the Office of Campus Events (or designate).
Scheduling Procedures
Scheduling procedures vary depending on the type of event planned (academic or non-academic), the date and time desired, and the requestor's College affiliation.
An inventory list of rooms that can be scheduled is available for review on the Facilities page. This list does not contain departmentally-controlled rooms. Information regarding room capacity is included on the list. Please allow 5 working days to process requests.
