In addition to the country-specific information, global resources are also provided.

This article compiled by Northwestern University offers resources and links for different aspects of one’s identity. Resources regarding LGBTQ, gender, accessibility, race, ethnicity, religion, financial need, and first generation college students can be found here.

“Traveling Abroad with Mental Illness”

SDSU Be International (a non-LC student run blog) addresses the unique challenges that can come with studying abroad while experiencing a mental illness. While mental health conditions are experienced by and impact everyone in different ways, this reflection on what it was like to study abroad with depression and anxiety for this particular student may illuminate methods of coping or seeking support while abroad.

World Health Organization:

Search any of the 194 country members of the World Health Organization and see country statistics, such as population and life expectancy. Each country also has a “Health Profile” and provides contact information for the WHO representative of that country. 

Long distance codes, including country and city codes: 

 Search using the name of a city, state, or country to find its phone code. Also search by area code, city code, or country code to find its corresponding region. 

Center for Disease Control:

Search the website under “Travelers’ Health” to find country-specific recommendations for pre-departure vaccines and medicines, healthy packing lists, and information for your return.
