The Peace Corps takes a different approach to making a difference. If you are inspired by impact that is hands-on, grassroots-driven, and lasting, get to know us.
The Peace Corps Volunteer program is often called life-defining by the more than 220,000 Americans who have served. Get the chance to fully integrate into a host country community, where you will live and work on projects ranging from education to business development and several other sectors. Every Peace Corps Volunteer is unique, and so is every Volunteer’s service.
Peace Corps service asks a lot of you. But it also has a lot to give. While you serve others, you will be gaining valuable transferable skills and benefits that last through your Volunteer service and well beyond, including financial, health and vacation benefits. There’s benefits after service, too, including career and graduate school fellowship programs.
Peace Corps Volunteers work at the grassroots level to create change that lasts long after their service. As a Volunteer, you can make an investment in our world—one handshake, one project, one friendship at a time—that leads to new possibilities in service and when you return home.
