Transfer Student Overview
WELCOME!
The Registrar’s Office will send a “Statement of Transfer Credit” and registration instructions to your current email address as soon as possible after your deposit is received.
We want your first registration to be a good one and are concerned that our online registration system may not recognize that you have met some prerequisites for your LC fall courses. There may not be direct equivalencies at LC and/or we may have not yet received official transcripts for all your transfer work. Please contact the following Degree Audit and Transfer Credit Coordinators according to your last name.
A - L: Robin Jarecki at rjarecki@lclark.edu or at 503-768-7329
M - Z: Cherilyn Ronningen at cer@lclark.edu or at 503-768-7332
General Information
- You must set up your LC email account in order to access online registration. Your LC email address will be the primary means of communication used by the Registrar’s Office and many other offices on campus.
- Your LC email account will also allow you access to WebAdvisor where you will register online and view your course schedules, grades and LC transcript. You will be able to access WebAdvisor within two business days of setting up your LC email account.
- We want to emphasize the importance of studying the sections on requirements and policies in the College Catalog.
- The “Statement of Transfer Credit” will indicate whether you will need to register for one of the Core Substitute Courses or if you will need to take Exploration and Discovery, in the Fall and/or Spring.
- As a transfer student you may want to read the general information on transfer credit, available on the Academic Advising homepage.
Also check out the following links:
- If you have taken a foreign language at your previous college and wish to continue with that language, you should register now for the next level (e.g., if you have taken one year of a language, then you should register for 201). If you did not take a language in college and want to continue with a language you studied in high school, you will need to take one of the Foreign Language Examinations before you may register for the course. If you want to study a language you have not previously studied, you should register for it this summer.
- Read “Before Beginning the Online Registration Process” below and Online Registration Instructions prior to accessing WebAdvisor to select courses.
- If you have questions about courses in your major or prerequisites for major courses, please email your Department Chair.
- After August registration ends, additional changes must be made during the Add/Drop Period (the first two weeks of the semester) by submitting a completed Add/Drop form to the Registrar’s Office on or before the second Friday of the semester.
You may find the Academic Schedule Worksheet (PDF) a helpful tool in planning your fall schedule.
If, at any time you have a problem, do not hesitate to call the Registrar’s Office, 503-768-7335 or email us at reg@lclark.edu.
