Carolyn O’Grady

Carolyn currently lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she the Stewardship Ministry Assistant at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. In her position, Carolyn is responsible for fundraising and income accounting, events, goals and statistics, giving volunteer management, and stewardship for the Church, and oversees the annual giving of over a million dollars each year, as well as the 3-year capital campaign that has raised well over and above the goals. Under her leadership, giving to the Church increased despite the economic recession.

Prior to her position with the Bethlehem Lutheran Church Carolyn was the Business Assistant for the “Making a World of Difference” five million dollar capital campaign with the Minneapolis Area Synod and Assistant to the Bishop’s Associate for Global Relations and Mission.

Carolyn’s impressive leadership, volunteer and campaign management, fundraising, and development experience will be a great addition to the Board as it continues to grow its giving and challenge initiatives and works to inspire alumni to participate in the Annual Fund.

In addition to her professional experiences, Carolyn is a member of the Minnesota Alumni Chapter which received an Alumni Honors Award in February 2010 for the chapter’s outstanding work in the area to bring alumni together for social and educational events. The Minnesota Chapter is a model for other cities that want to start organizing and Carolyn’s direct experience will be invaluable as Board of Alumni members work to transition their informal alumni volunteer groups into active and successful city chapters.
