Hometown: San Antonio, Texas born and bred.

Favorite spot on campus: The third-floor conference room of J.R. Howard Hall.  I have spent many days and nights there studying or in meetings formerly as a student and now as a staff member.  On a clear day, you have an unobstructed view of Mt. Hood to the east.

Little-known fact about me: I was a vegetarian for 2 years.

Piece of advice for students in the college search process: Prioritize what is important to you for college.  Is it location? The size of a school? An academic discipline?  And don’t hesitate to bring up your college search with family and friends.  They might have suggestions of schools you have never heard of before that could be a perfect fit for you.

Favorite place to spend time in Portland: Southeast Portland is my new home and it is a great place to bike or walk around.  There are many hidden gems on the east side of the river.  A recent find for me is Cloud Cap Games where you can rent board games.

If I was stranded on a desert island, I would want these three things: My ipod, a skillet, and a basketball.

If I didn’t work in Admissions, I would be: Working towards a second degree in something.  I guess I am what you would call a life-long learner, and would have to surround myself in education of some kind.
