Hometown:  Portland, Oregon.  In fact, I grew up about five minutes from Lewis & Clark, and have subsequently lived on both coasts and abroad.  Currently, I call New York City home, so come say hello in Brooklyn!

Favorite spot on campus:  I have always loved the bridge crossing the ravine that connects the academic side of campus to the residential side.  A simple path suspended beneath a canopy of trees, surround by the cleanest air I have ever inhaled- especially nice after returning to campus from New York!

Little-known fact about me:  In fifth grade, I was in an English language training video series called The Black Hand Gang.  I played the part of Wheelie who rode a bike, wore hyper-color t-shirts and said words like “Cowabunga!”

Piece of advice for students in the college search process:
Have fun!  Yes, the process can be daunting, but only you know what’s best for you.  Also, when visiting a campus like Lewis & Clark, say hello to people- get to know the people in the community since even though a campus may be beautiful, it is the people that make a school what it is.

Favorite place to spend time in Portland: I am a big fan of the gardens in this city.  The Japanese Garden, the International Rose Test Garden, the Lan Su Chinese Garden, and of course the garden in my mom’s backyard.  I love having such great access to the urban aspects of Portland, but I also love enjoying some peace and quiet.  Picnics are a must.

If I was stranded on a desert island, I would want these three things: Assuming this desert island would have electricity and a WiFi signal, I would bring my iPad since with it all things are possible.  Then I would sit under a beach umbrella drinking Diet Pepsi while watching Lost.  There is something very meta about watching Lost on a desert island…

If I didn’t work in Admissions, I would be:  Wishing I worked in Admissions again.  Or working as a skydiving instructor.  Or just traveling the world!
