Favorite spot on campus: The Math Department! I loved the collaboration and camaraderie that comes from having a small department with incredibly enthusiastic professors. I did all my homework and even ate lunch with professors in the student study area.
Piece of advice for students in the college search process: Visit! Visualize yourself on every college campus and note the feeling that you get when you’re there. Do you feel at home?
Favorite place to spend time in Portland: Saturday Market. I love walking around all the little shops- once I met an artist who draws using numbers. Like pointillism, but every point is a number! I guess it’s called Numberism?
If I was stranded on a desert island, I would want these three things: My two little sisters and a piano!
If I didn’t work in Admissions, I would be: Abroad! I’ve always wanted to volunteer in an orphanage in another country. Haiti, Cambodia, Romania, Ethiopia… the possibilities are endless!
