Gender Studies
I am a junior Portland native who is determined to artwork herself into oblivion. I am a self-designed Gender Studies major and one of four students co-chairing the Annual Gender Studies Symposium.
I currently spend my time illustrating a weekly webcomic, writing and performing Slam poetry, cooking gluten-free vegetarian food, biking on nice days, running United Sexualities club, and working as an RA on campus. Occasionally I sleep, too.

Political Science
I love the environment as well as the people and faculty at Lewis & Clark. Everyone is very nice and simply amazing. The campus is also really beautiful. So far with classes, I have loved US Politics as well as Comparative Politics.
Some of my extracurricular activities include music (playing the trumpet) and being outdoors. I also live on the "Outdoor Pursuits" theme floor in Howard hall. I enjoy hanging out with friends and watching movies. After I graduate I hope to go on to Law School and then become a trial attorney.
I encourage prospective students to visit campus. If you are able to meet current students, as well take a tour of the campus, you can see firsthand if the college is right for you.

Environmental Studies
I like the availability and passion of LC professors. I always look forward to discussing my ideas with my professors because I will, without a doubt, get a substantial response. In addition, LC offers some amazing opportunities for student-faculty research that enables to us to (1) take a practical approach to our scholarly interests and (2) work closely with our professors.
Talk to professors and visit classes. Also, check out the college's departmental websites to see what upperclassmen in your prospective majors are doing. With help from the Andrew Mellon Foundation, the Environmental Studies Program has been working hard to develop a space where current majors can share their resources and projects with their peers, prospective students and interested visitors. All of this can be accessed through the Environmental Studies page on the college website.
In my spare time I like to cook, read, do yoga, and go to plays downtown along with being involved in the Pamplin Society of Fellows. I was also a co-chair for the Environmental Studies Symposium last year. I recently returned from doing LC’s Overseas Program to India (Fall 2009).
